Calculating the square footage of a room in your home does not have to be an intimidating experience. You do not need a college degree in mathematics to know the square footage of a bathroom, a bedroom or a living room. All you need is a calculator, a pencil and some scrap paper.
1. The first step is to take one room at a time. If it is a very large room, you may want to divide the room in half or thirds.
